What drew me to ADFA? Well, the university degree and the fact that you have a guaranteed job at the end of your training. Not only that, it’s just a great experience. You get taught a lot over three years; all the leadership skills and military training, which I find enjoyable.
The sense of family you have at ADFA is really special. Every Division is essentially a family now, you feel really included and I’ve made some really great mates.
As a General Service Officer in the Army you get to experience everything, as you’re not funnelled into a particular Corps from the start. Right up until the end of your training at the Royal Military College (RMC-D) you get to decide where you want to go, so you’re not really typecast into doing anything.
